Ok so I've been a slacker

But I do have a good reason, sorta.. I am now a full time working mom. To be honest I'm not liking it so much but for now I have to work and I'm praying soon that we'll be able to sell our house and move.

God has a plan, I just know he does...for now I'll have to patiently WAIT on him.

I so miss my time being HOME taking care of my house and the kids. Right now in our family my husband and I have changed roles, he is now a stay at home dad and my only complaint------------I wish he'd wake up and make me breakfast and wash the clothes!!!LOL

For 15 years I woke up at 5:30 with him, ironed his clothes, made his lunch and cooked him his breakfast. Since I started work fulltime July 16 of this year he has gotten up once 10 minutes before I left, no breakfast and he's definately has not cooked me breakfast or made my lunch, but hey I can't complain much he does great with the kids (although at first Capt R wanted to punch every driver at the Lil' miss's Jr high out)....seriously everyday in September Capt R...whined and complained so now instead of doing that he shows up 1/2 before she gets out...UH I NEVER DID THAT!!!LOL

so until the next time and hopefully it won't be four months....I want to share my adventures as a working mama....

It's just a season....

every stage of my life I've been in is just a season. I mean I still can't believe I"m working fulltime again........is it hard you may ask,.....a little. But I"m thankful my husband is here now (he retired June 12) he is now a stay at home dad. But I do know one thing I miss my kids during the day I miss puttering around the house having my own schedule. But like every thing I've done in my life I know this "back to work" thing will just be for a season.............

When a loved one passes away....

This is my brother Tommy who went home to be with the Lord July 20, 2009

So much has happened since I last posted. But the biggest thing that has happened to my family is we lost our dear brother Tommy July 20th. He lasted longer than the Dr's thought and the Dr said it was because it may have been his strong "heart". He was 34 years old. He had CANCER. That is such a evil evil word. When he was diagnosed they gave him 9 months September would of been two years. He fought hard went through chemo hated every minute. I'm glad I had some time with him just not enough. You see I am 9 years older than he and I remember the day my mom brought him home from the hospital we were so excited to have a little baby. He was a beautiful baby jet black hair that stood straight up we didn't need to use any gel on his head..lol I remember when he would give me his school pictures and tell me not to forget his birthday which will be Oct 9 :).....There are 8 in my family four boys and four girls and when someone ask me now the names of everyone I still include his name our family roll call.

seems so unreal that he is no longer here. Which reminds me about a email I read by Tasra Dawson of reallwomenscrap (she wrote a book to) she has a challenge posted and ask her readers "What would you do if you only had one month to live"?.....go check her blog out...

Mow the Lawn take a nap....

at least this is what my newly retired husband did...LOL Girls I really had to laugh and give him a hard time. He went out this morning about 10:00 a.m. while I had to drive to Orange County to get copies of my boys birth certificates. I got back about 11:30. He was "edging" when I got back. We chatted I come inside get dinner in the crockpot watch a training video and feed the kids lunch (it's summertime ya know..lol) I go outside and he's still farting around. OOO and after lunch I get called to pick up my oldest son from practice by now it's 1:00. By the time Captain gets in the house he ask me if I can "make him some tea" and then lets me know he's going to take a NAP....GIRLFRIENDS how many of you have stopped in the middle of your day to take a NAP??? with kids home..........By the way I have been the one that mowed the yard while he was "working"----------and I never got to take a nap after doing it, it was onto the next thing like picking up kids, grocery shopping, fixing dinner etc.....I'll cut him some slack this first week but he is soooooooooo getting on MY schedule!!!!LOL

I can't believe it, June is half way through!!!

It's been a crazy fast month so far. Lil' miss promoted out of 6th grade into 7th and the festivities for this were crazy. Why they go to school in June is beyond me all they do is "play"..lol in 6th grade this is what they have::

*6th grade Olympiad four 6th grade classes pick a "ancient civilization" and dress, make up a dance, and they have a parade.
*Academic Olympiad each class competes and earns points
*Ancient Olympics again each class participates in various field events
*Ancient "feast"
*Skate party
*day at the park with games
*teacher student softball game
*movie day with concession stand in each class
promotion
*after promotion pool party.
ooo yeah and in 6th grade they go to science camp for a week but that's in December. All the other stuff happens the last two weeks of school basically June is "party" time!! I'll post pics later.

My time this past week was crazy with

Lil Miss's induction into the Hall of Fame for perfect attendance, homework turned in on time, excellent citizenship all year.
*Honor's award for Honor roll all three semesters
*Play off game for my Cowboy.
*Promotion for 6th grade was Thursday,
*chaperone 2009 Gradnite party from 8:30 to 1:00 a.m. (Thursday night)
* get up Friday a.m with only three hours sleep and save seats for my friends for
Cowboy's 8th grade promotion.
* take 100's of pictures of all said events,
* championship game friday and then saturday and Cowboy's team winning said game------taking more video and pictures..........hitting the wall come saturday night from all said activities!!!lol

It was fun but dang it wore me out. I'm ready for summer and ready to start my part time job :)

Here's to a great summer and I have some plans for this blog of mine tooo :)
